Read the information on the following link about pupils' feelings when moving from Primary school to High School. How do you feel about it? Start to make notes using the writing skeletons shown below. You may find similar articles by searching the internet yourself. Try the Newsround link on the right hand side of this blog too!
(Instead of writing 'facts' here, you could write 'questions' and 'responses.')
Once you have read the article, consider the types of questions you would like to ask different pupils within your school, before attending the Transition day (and without letting them know that you're on a 'Mission'). Make notes of the responses and keep them in a secret place.
Then consider the questions you will ask pupils when you are in the Transition Day at Hawthorn High School. Ask them about the activities and how they make them feel. Have they made any new friends? Do they feel better about going to High School now? Did the Llangrannog trip help their anxieties? How?
Remember to write open ended questions to get as much information as you can.
This is what you need:
Questions to ask pupils in my own school before the Transition Day and the responses they make.
Questions to ask a range of pupils during the Transition Day at HHS and the responses they make.
Transition day is on Monday 13th July.
Pob Lwc Secret Agents. Remember to post you Secret Agent code names on here with the name of your school. Also, feel free to share your findings so far.
